𝗪𝗕𝗚 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗘-𝗠𝗥𝗦 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘄!

What a great experience at the E-MRS Fall Meeting 2026 in Warsaw!

The 𝗪𝗕𝗚 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 has been strongly represented throughout the meeting, with a particularly important role in the organisation of 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗔 – New frontiers in wide-bandgap semiconductors and heterostructures for electronics, optoelectronics and sensing.

And what a Symposium it was!

𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗔 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 among all the E-MRS Fall 2026 symposia — a clear indication of the tremendous interest and momentum surrounding wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies.
A special highlight was the strong participation of WBG Pilot Line partners, with contributions spanning different aspects of the WBG value chain and showcasing the expertise of our European ecosystem.

The four Symposium A Chairs (Fabrizio Roccaforte, Michal Bockowski, Elke Meissner and Vanya Darakchieva) also represented four key national nodes of the WBG Pilot Line — Italy, Poland, Germany and Sweden — reflecting the truly European dimension of this initiative.

From materials and processing to devices and applications, the WBG Pilot Line is helping to connect research, innovation and industrial deployment across Europe.
